Frugal living how do we tame our kids desires
Growing up in the 80’s it was all about me. I think back at how everything that I did was for me, which is not all bad within reason after all you do have to take care of yourself. But it was all about how do I look?
What do I look like to others? We have to have the right vehicle, right house, belong to all of the right organizations, are kids have to wear the right clothes and be involved in every activity. After all it is good for them right? What are kids look like and are involved in reflects on us.
Our society got so caught up in how we look that we failed to see what we were not only doing to ourselves, but to our children.
We are using up resources, depleting are wallets, turning our kids in to spoiled brats that believe they are entitled to all that is to be had.
I don’t see any winners here.
Any suggestions?
